Rejoice! Rejoice...Emmanuel!

Christmas time has come and with the beautiful and very abundant supply of snow comes the oh so sweet time with family and friends! The smell of evergreen and sugar cookies goes straight to my heart and warms it right up!! This time of year has been especially exciting for us as Erik has graduated from RCTC with his nursing degree and is preparing to take his RN boards! It has been a long road but will be well worth it! I am finally settled into my position at St Marys on 4Domitilla a medical cardiac floor and enjoy the challenge and rewards of working with such very sick people.
Another wonderful thing that has come this year is the announcement of a "baby" Ahlstrom joining our family of three..( Erik, myself and our lab Maya of course). I am 16 1/2 weeks pregnant and feeling much better. Those first 13 weeks were rough and at times I thought the "sickness" would never end! I am starting to get my energy back a little, although I still tire easily, but am feeling a little more like myself. We are very excited for this new chapter in our lives!! God has blessed us so!
We have officially moved across the street from Grandma and Grandpa Grice (Tim and Suzie I mean ) and are house sitting for some friends for a couple years. The timing works out well and we are happy to help out some friends in their absence.
Christmas time 2008 is here and I am just overwhelmed with the blessings God has poured out on our lives. He is always faithful in good times and in bad and the gift of His Son Jesus the Christ gives us hope in our everyday that there is so much more to this life, that He is our life and our reason for this glorious season. To Him be the glory forever and ever.
